A pub which has frequently changed identity in the past two decades is winning five-star reviews on Tripadvisor.
Hubble and Home reopened recently in Abingdon Road, south Oxford.
Previously the pub has been called The Berkshire House, the Crooked Pot, the Berkshire and Home until it closed in February.
The Hawthorn Leisure-owned hostelry has now reopened as Hubble and Home and is getting a good reception from drinkers who enjoy their food.
The pub at 200 Abingdon Road has a five-star rating on influential reviews site Tripadvisor following 458 reviews.

John G told the reviews site following a visit last month: “How great to finally find a local pub/restaurant that provide GF (gluten friendly) fish and chips. Lovely unpretentious gastro pub, very friendly staff.
“We knew on enquiring that they had dedicated fryers and prep area to reduce risk of cross-contamination.
“The food was excellent for me with the GF option but for rest of family non GF was also very good. First time for years I had a GF sweet to follow - hooray.”
Another diner added: “We visited on 2 occasions during a stay in Oxford. On both occasions the meals were excellent. Very good quality food and at a reasonable price. All meals were very good standard. We would definitely go back. Staff were friendly and efficient.”

“Our approach is plain and simple in that we want to create a home from home experience, a place where guests can feel relaxed and comfortable whether with friends or family. We also welcome dogs.
