A new zebra crossing will be painted onto a road in a village northwest of Bicester.

The crossing will be placed on Camp Road, Upper Heyford, after approval by Oxfordshire County Council this week.

It will allow people to cross the road safely between Heyford Park Free School and new housing developments to the south of Camp Road.

The local councillor, Ian Corkin, gave his support to the plans.

They were signed off by the council's cabinet member for transport, Yvonne Constance, on Thursday.
