ONE suspect has been charged with robbery after a man in his 50s was stabbed multiple times in a pub brawl in Oxford.

Gareth Otis Rogers, 49, of Leiden Road, Oxford, is currently remanded in police custody. 

He is due to appear at Oxford Crown Court on Friday, September 25.

The victim suffered a number of stab wounds during a pub brawl outside the William Morris in Templars Square.

He had his money and phone stolen from him.

The stab victim was then taken to hospital for treatment, but has since been discharged.

Another man – a 39-year-old from Oxford – has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with this incident, and is currently on police bail.

Thames Valley Police is now appealing for information following the attempted murder that happened at around 10.30pm on Monday, August 24.

Investigating officer, detective constable Claire Sadler, of Oxford police station said: "We are appealing for witnesses to this incident, during which a man aged in his fifties sustained a number of stab wounds.
