VIDEOS captured from yesterday's incident at the John Radcliffe Hospital show police swooping in to detain a gunman.
A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of firearms and two air powered guns were recovered at the scene.
An eyewitness, who does not want to be named, shared the disturbing footage with the Oxford Mail and identified the man seen leaning over a black car as the suspect.
Officers sealed off the scene and combed the area for clues.

Another anonymous eyewitness commented: "The shop and café were closed off.
"Everyone was sent inside the hospital for safety.
"Police cordoned off the car park and slip road in front of the west wing of the in front of the children’s hospital.
"The man was taken away approximately 6.45pm."
One of the guns can also be seen on the ground next to the silver car.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police confirmed that an investigation is being carried out and added: "No one was injured during this incident and there is not believed to be a wider threat to the public."
