EXTINCTION Rebellion's climate change action saw concerned parents staged a protest at the heart of Oxford yesterday.
Campaigners gathered at Bonn Square at 2pm in support of a simultaneous protest by families in London outside the Bank of England, who demanded that it stops funding firms, which destroy the climate.
The group believes that the Bank's short-term view is a 'false economy' that fails to recognise the joint crises of Covid-19 and climate change.
Wearing face coverings, standing socially distanced and armed with placards and packed lunches, parents protested together with their children.

One mother of two Lizzie Moore explained why she took part in the event "I am terrified that I will have to explain to my two daughters why we did not take action on climate change whilst we still had the chance.
"As a public health doctor I am trained to look at the wider picture.
"Failure to put climate change at the very centre of the UK’s pandemic recovery strategy is like treating a symptom, rather than the cause of a much larger global crisis."
Jon Kennedy, who also participated in the event, added: "We cannot stand by whilst children's futures are pitted against short term economic gains."
