A DRIVER had a lucky escape after their campervan burst into flames in a motorcross park yesterday afternoon.

Pictures show thick black smoke rising from the vehicle as firefighters begin to rush to the scene of the blaze in Arncott, near Bicester, just before 2pm.

Oxford Mail:

The owner of the campervan managed to disconnect some of the gas cylinders, and make the area safe for the crews arriving from Brill Fire Station.

The fire could be seen from the neighbouring M40 and the surrounding area.

Firefighters tackled the blaze using main jets, hose reels and breathing apparatus, but they did not manage to save the campervan.
