A GROUP of Muslim supermums united to give everyone an insight into what it means for Muslims who fast in July 2014.
The Big Iftar – endorsed by then-Prime Minister David Cameron – saw a group of Muslim mums host the St Nicholas Big Iftar in Oxford which brought parents and children together in a multicultural event which offered an insight into fasting.
The UK's coordinator Julie Siddiqi attended the event at St Nicholas Primary School in Marston and was impressed how a group of mums turned an idea into something quite unique by holding it at the school and organising the event in just 10 days.
