A HOUSING estate that is still in the process of being built has experienced flash flooding.

Residents in Graven Hill, Bicester had to help each other prevent water from running into their homes last week after heavy downpours.

Karen Curtin, managing director at Graven Hill Village Development Company, said: “We are working with Bromford Housing Association and the residents of 10 properties on-site who have been impacted by the excessive rainfall in Bicester.

“Following flood warnings in the region, three areas of the development have been affected by surface water run-off and as a result, we are carrying out a review of the land drainage and landscaping on the site.

“As always we are working proactively with our residents and the wider community and would like to thank them for their patience.”

Graven Hill is made up of self and custom-build houses.
