SPEED limit changes could be introduced on a major road into Witney.
Oxfordshire County Council has opened a public consultation on plans to reduce the 40mph zone to 30mph on the A415 near the Ducklington roundabout.
The new speed limit would stretch from 65m north of the junction to 95m south and would aim to ensure the safe movement of traffic around the new development being built nearby.
Ducklington Lane was among the worst areas in West Oxfordshire for speeding in 2018, with 800 drivers snapped by cameras in the 30mph zone – an average of more than two each day.

The plans would also see double yellow lines painted along both sides of the entire length of New Close Lane, to the west of the junction.
Residents have until midnight on August 28 to comment on the proposals and they can do so by completing an online questionnaire, by email or in writing.
The county council will consider all responses and report any unresolved objections to one of its monthly cabinet meetings later this year.
