A GROUP of teenagers were attacked by a gang of four as they walked through an Oxford park.

Four 19-year-old youths were sitting by the pond in Cutteslowe Park when they were approached by three men and a woman with a black dog.

The teenagers got up to leave the spot but they were followed by the unknown group who 'threatened' them.

As they reached the exit from the park at Holt Weer Close and Templar Road, one of the offenders tried to snatch a backpack from one of the victims but he swiftly pulled it back.

The offender then punched one of the other teenagers.

Thames Valley Police is now appealing for witnesses of the robbery and assault that happened on Friday, between 11.15pm and 11.50pm.

The first suspect is described as a white man between 20 and 30 years old, approximately 5ft 10ins tall and of a slight build. He had longish blond hair, a straggly beard and was wearing a black t-shirt and grey shorts. He had a silver chain around his neck and was intoxicated.

The second suspect is described as a white man between 20 and 30 years old, approximately 5ft 10 ins tall and of a large build. He had short ginger hair and a beard.

The third suspect is described as a black man between 20 and 30 years old, approximately 6ft tall and of a slim build. He was wearing a black tracksuit with white stripes and the hood up.

The fourth suspect is described as a white woman aged between 20 and 30 years old and about 5ft tall.
