RESIDENTS near Chinnor Road have said they were 'put on lock down' when the area became centre of a murder investigation last night.

Police launched a murder probe after a 19-year-old man was found in the Thame road shortly after 7pm - read the latest here.

One person on Facebook said all they could see was flashing blue lights.

Another recalled seeing more than 10 emergency cars including at least two ambulances and a fire engine. 

Others added comments about how they are 'not allowed to leave their homes at all'. 

Investigating officers have said that it is 'unclear' what the events were leading up to his death but have urged people not share footage on social media.

Police have also urged witnesses who 'saw something suspicious' near Essex Road or Chinnor Road to get in touch through 101. 

Essex Road is still cordoned off at both ends at forensic teams have been spotted at the scene. 

Park Street has also been closed form the BP garage towards Chinnor Road too.

Witnesses have also recalled seeing a car on its roof and 'money on the floor' - though this is unconfirmed.
