A FAMILY of swans have been captured on camera making their way down the river.
The layer of green covering the water can be seen parting as the swans and their cygnets trail behind one other.
The snap was taken by Andy Wood, who describes himself as an enthusiastic photographer.
At the time, he was taking a stroll down Mesopotamia Walk – the picturesque shortcut from Marston Ferry Road to University Parks.
Mr Woods, who took the adorable picture on his mobile phone on Sunday, said after spotting the swans in the distance waited about 10 minutes for the perfect timing.
He said: "It was pure luck.
“I noticed the green river which was pretty spectacular in itself and went to take another photograph of it but saw the swans in the distance."
