It comes after Hampshire Police were given an extension of a section 60 for Southampton City Centre.
The emergency power means that frontline officers can stop anybody in the city centre and surrounding areas.
It was granted after a 27-year-old was stabbed in a park and multiple reports to police that young people are 'targeting each other with weapons'.
