Neighbours in Stratton are celebrating this week after winning a daily prize from the People’s Postcode Lottery.
The four Beechcroft Road neighbours won £1,000 each when their postcode, SN2 7QE, was announced as the winner on Saturday.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt said: “What a great surprise to get on your weekend! Congratulations to our winners, I hope they enjoy their winnings.”
At least 32 per cent of ticket sales for the lottery goes directly to charities, with more than £500 million being raised since the competition was started.
This draw was promoted by Crisis which has received over £3.8 million in funding from the players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
Crisis aims to end homelessness and helps approximately 10,000 people each year through education, housing, employment and health services across England, Scotland and Wales.
Local charities can next apply for funding next month.
