As part of the Department for Transport's current active-travel initiative to promote cycling during the covid-19 recovery phase, Cow Lane and Basil Hill Road in Didcot were proposed as possible road closures.

The council said: "This Active Travel proposal will not meet the government set time-frame requirements for implementation."
