A QUICK-thinking neighbour helped stop a kitchen fire getting out of control
Two fire engines were sent on Tuesday afternoon to a property near Oxford to reports of smoke coming from a bathroom window and the sound of a fire alarm.

Inside it was found the blaze was caused by food left cooking on a hob in the empty home.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service warned: "Please remember not to leave cooking unattended and check that everything is off before leaving the house."
