A SECOND arrest has been made in connection with the murder of 33-year-old Anthony Joyce.

A 21-year-old man from Oxford was arrested yesterday on suspicion of assisting an offender and currently remains in police custody.

While the victim has not yet been formally identified, friends and family have named him online as Anthony Joyce.

John Francis Joyce, aged 30, of Redbridge Hollow, who was arrested yesterday, has now been charged with one count of murder and has been remanded in custody to appear at Oxford Crown Court tomorrow.

Thames Valley Police launched a murder investigation on Monday after a post-mortem examination concluded that the man, who was found unresponsive at his home in Redbridge Hollow traveller site off Abingdon Road, had died as a result of a head injury.
