TWO mime artists promoted the use of recycling bins in Bicester in June 2007.
The silent, gold-headed duo moved among the crowds, passing the message about recycling through mime.
The street performers from Brackley-based Electric Cabaret dressed in gold to entertain shoppers with litter pickers, stickers and leaflets.
The new bins had been installed in the town centre to encourage people to recycle whilst shopping, as well as at home.
Cherwell District Council had launched the bins, blue for newspapers and magazines, and orange for cans and plastic bottles, as part of a neighbourhood litter blitz action week.
