A PHYSIO has revealed how their practice has been operating after reopening last week.

The Witney Physiotherapy Centre stopped seeing patients for face-to-face appointments on March 23 and quickly adapted to ensure people with injuries could still access help and advice.

Michelle Dinmore, practice principal, said: “It was heartbreaking after 21 years in Witney to lock the doors not knowing when we would be back.

“We rapidly implemented virtual physiotherapy, via a video link so that we could examine and advise without the risk of close contact.

“We are now starting to see people for face-to-face appointments again and in order to do so have needed to implement a raft of physical and procedural changes to our clinic premises and the way in which we work.”

Appointments are strictly timed and when patients arrive, they are met at the door by the physio or podiatrist, wearing full scrubs, gloves and a face mask. A face mask for the patient is provided.
