FIREFIGHTERS had to make an inflatable bridge to rescue a stranded man who had fractured his leg on the canal.
He had fallen off Northbrook Bridge, near Kirtlington, on Saturday afternoon and had called 999 to get help.
Paramedics arrived at the scene but because of the awkward location firefighters had to make the dramatic rescue.

To get him back onto dry land they used an Ice Path - an inflatable platform used to rescue people trapped on water or in mud - and a Titan stretcher, which is usually used in military or very tactical operations.
He was taken to hospital.
