ONE of Oxfordshire's smallest museums is inviting people to travel back in time with a 'virtual tour of a world-class diorama exhibition'.

Pendon model railway museum, in Long Wittenham near Didcot, has models of buildings, trains and landscapes of the Vale of White Horse in the 1930s.

It has taken 50 years and at least 250,000 hours of volunteer time to build.

Pendon Chairman Paul Leonard said: “We created the virtual tour so that people can explore the museum while it is closed, and it will provide future visitors with a glimpse of what they will see at the museum, as well as a way to keep exploring after their visit.”
