THREE large police horse vans have arrived at Oxford's Christ Church.
Officers from the mounted section have started setting up barriers around the meadow as residents carry on with their picnics and exercise.
It is unknown whether Thames Valley Police are expecting a big protest in the city or are setting up for another event - but one person in the park said that it is rather uneventful right now.
The mounted section is based in Milton Keynes and officers and horses are usually deployed at major events across the three counties - most recently at the Rhodes Must Fall protest in Oxford last week.
Police have been contacted for a comment.
