RESIDENTS have been donating their unused bikes to healthcare staff in Cherwell.
As part of the Bikes for Key Workers scheme that aims to get key workers off public transport during the coronavirus crisis, spare bikes are being repaired and handed out free of charge.

Set up by the charity Active Oxfordshire, the initiative has proved popular in Oxford and is now being rolled out across Cherwell where the district council arranges and pays for any repairs needed before the bikes are handed onto a new owner.
Cherwell has already provided seven bikes.
