THE independent health watchdog for Oxfordshire is asking for people to share their experience of using pharmacies during the coronavirus outbreak.

Healthwatch Oxfordshire is keen to hear about both collecting prescriptions and accessing health advice.

In February, Healthwatch Oxfordshire launched a survey asking for people’s views on this and had 350 responses from across the county.

Due to the pandemic it is currently rerunning the survey to see if, and how, things have changed since the start of the Covid-19 outbreak.

Healthwatch Oxfordshire Executive Director Rosalind Pearce said: “We’d like to thank everyone who took the time to respond to our survey earlier in the year.

"We are now rerunning the survey as we are really keen to see what people’s experiences have been of using pharmacies during the coronavirus outbreak.

"It will be helpful to see how things have changed, if at all, and how pharmacies are working during this pandemic.”

She added: “What we hear from you will be used to tell those who plan and pay for NHS services what you think, and to help improve things, so please do tell us what it’s like for you and what you think could be done better.”

People who completed the survey earlier in the year are welcome to do so again.

The survey can be completed via smartsurvey.co.uk/s/pharmacy/.
