A MAN made racially aggravated comments and shouted at people in a town centre.

The incident took place in Church Lane, Banbury between 1.45pm and 2pm on Tuesday.

There were a number of victims, and in particular Thames Valley Police would like to speak to a couple who were wearing masks, gloves and walking with crutches, and the man approached them asking for money.

The man is black, about 50 years old, 6ft tall and of stocky build. He was wearing a yellow and orange top.

Another potential witness is a man who changed the direction he was walking, seemingly because of the incident.

Investigating officer PC Vince Clenshaw said: “I would like to speak to anyone who has information about this incident.

“We would specifically like to speak to the people described as they may have more information that could help with this investigation.
