A further 187 people, who tested positive for the coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 25,266.

Patients were aged between 14 and 98 years old, with six of the 187 patients (aged between 46 and 94) having no known underlying health condition.  

Two more deaths were recorded at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in the latest figures, measured as of 5pm on Wednesday.

The trust, which runs the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and Banbury's Horton General Hospital, has a death toll of 176.

There have also been 22 patient coronavirus deaths at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the county's community hospitals.

As the trust also manages services outside Oxfordshire it is not possible to confirm how many deaths were in the county.
