AN OXFORD artist has been inspired by the tireless efforts of frontline medical staff during the coronavirus outbreak in her latest work.
Emma Waddleton, who lives near Florence Park, said she knew she wanted to paint something 'topical' and eventually decided to capture a pair of NHS staff hugging while in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
She said she was initially planning to auction the artwork to raise money for the NHS but is now hoping to donate it to the John Radcliffe Hospital to be displayed.

The 56-year-old, who runs her own painting and decorating business, added: "I'd really like to do something so it isn't just sat in my house."
To ensure the painting was as accurate as possible she said she would check with her sister, who works in the John Radcliffe in radiology.
She added: "She really loved it."
