OXFORD City Council has resumed bookings for its bulky waste collection service for residents as of yesterday, and collections will start from next Tuesday.
The service was temporarily suspended in March in a move aimed at allowing staff to be redeployed during the coronavirus crisis and to help keep essential services running.
With restrictions easing, and with fewer staff self-isolating or away from work due to other coronavirus-related reasons, the council is now in a position to restart the service, though collections may take longer than usual.
