Households on the Ladygrove Estate in Didcot woke up without electricity this morning.

Residents first reported the power cut at about 7am.

Lawrence Owusu lives on Verlam Grove on the Ladygrove Estate. He said: “We woke up this morning without power in the house.

“A couple of neighbours also reported the same issue. There is absolutely no power, everything is off. I've made a call to the electricity distributor who is hoping to get this resolved soon.”

A spokesperson from SSEN energy company told the Oxford Mail that the power cuts were caused by a 'low voltage fault' which was reported at 7.15 am.

The energy company said it affected 38 customers, however, later when the engineers were fixing the cable fault another 19 customers were affected with power cuts, meaning 57 customers in total were affected. 

The power was back on at 2.50pm.
