DIY store Wickes has announced the phased re-opening of its stores with Oxford and Bicester set to welcome customers next Tuesday.

The stores in Oxford's Botley Road, and Bicester's Launton Road, are among the second tranche of shops to open their doors after the extended lockdown closure.

Other stores in our region, including Reading, Milton Keynes, Newbury and Northampton, will re-open tomorrow.

Stores will open at either 7 or 8am and close at either 4 or 5pm.

The Oxford Mail has asked which times apply to our local stores.

The company said: "Wickes is to begin a phased reopening of its stores to the public in the next two weeks, with strict new safety measures in place to protect customers and colleagues.

"The roll-out follows the successful trial opening of six stores which implemented new social distancing measures, and will happen in two phases, with 106 shops opening on Thursday, and the remaining 108 opening their doors on Tuesday 19th May. "
