Firefighters rushed to a property in Blackbird Leys yesterday evening after reports of smoke coming out of a home in the area.
The home in Blackbird Leys caught fire after a pan had been left on the hob.
When fire engines from Slade Road Fire station arrived at the property it was full of smoke and firefighters had to enter the building wearing breathing apparatus.

The team were able to make it safe and clear the smoke using a high-pressure fan.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue service wrote on their Facebook page: "We must stress the importance of having working and tested smoke alarms and never leaving cooking unattended, smoke alarms save lives."
