A further 383 people, who tested positive for the coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 22,432.

Patients were aged between 28 and 100 years old, with 41 of the 383 patients (aged between 28 and 96 years old) having no known underlying health condition.

The NHS England figures, measured as of 5pm on Wednesday, record no new deaths of patients at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, meaning the total remains at 151.

The trust runs the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and Banbury's Horton General Hospital.

There have also been 21 patient coronavirus deaths at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the county's community hospitals.

As the trust also manages services outside Oxfordshire it is not possible to confirm how many deaths were in the county.
