AN EIGHT month pregnant mum-to-be took to social media to ask whether she could get a bikini wax during the current lockdown.

In a post on the Spotted Witney Facebook page on Wednesday evening, the woman said: “I know it’s not essential but are there any beauticians available to do a bikini wax?

“I’m eight months pregnant and desperate. Would like it done at home.”

The post was met with a mixture of disbelief and some tongue in cheek responses.

Georgia Rushby said: “It really is the last thing you should be thinking about right now and if it’s really a huge issue use a shaver and a mirror.

“Once in the situation of giving birth it really will not be of a concern to you.”

Susan Kent added: “Believe me you really won’t care when the time comes.”

Some commenters tried to give advice to the woman, with Jodie Hall suggesting the expectant mother turn to 'WooWoo cream' – a product described as an ‘intimate hair removal cream’.

Lindsay Smith advised: “Buy home kits and get your partner to do it.”

Commenters also pointed out that being heavily pregnant would make the woman high risk, with regards to coronavirus, as well as problems surrounding social distancing and the act of a bikini wax being impossible to do from a two metre distance.
