THE southbound carriageway of the A34 was closed by police near Oxford for two hours today after an accident, close to the Pear Tree interchange.
Police said two vehicles were involved in the crash and the road was closed to recover one of the vehicles.
The crash, which involved a silver Peugeot and a white Mercedes Sprinter van, happened at 10am.
The closure caused long tailbacks before police reopened the road.
