HEARTFELT tributes poured for nation's newest hero Captain Tom Moore for his 100th birthday today.
Cadets and cadet force adult volunteers from Oxfordshire Army Cadet Force were some of the well-wishers - they produced a short video to thank Captain Moore for fundraising £28million for the NHS and to congratulate him on his centennial.
The World War Two veteran became a nationwide sensation when he crowdfunded the much-needed money for healthcare workers by walking 100 laps of his garden in Marston Moretaine, Bedfordshire.
He was also flooded with letters and cards ahead of his birthday, which were sorted by the South Midlands Mail Centre in Northampton.
