FLY-TIPPERS have been tracked down using an address on items they dumped.

Officers from West Oxfordshire District Council attended reports of fly-tipping at a ‘bring site’ recycling bank behind the town hall in Carterton.

The offenders have now been served with a fixed penalty notice for £400 after admitting the offence.

Norman MacRae, cabinet member for the environment at the council, said: “These people have blatantly disregarded the law on fly-tipping and will pay the price.

“It should serve as a warning to anyone considering dumping their rubbish illegally.”
