HUNDREDS of Scouts and Cubs paraded through the centre of Oxford to celebrate St George's Day 2008.
The parade that year was actually held on Sunday, April 20, when the young members of Oxford Spires Scout District were not due to be in school.
Our photographer Yuri Anderegg was on the scene as the patriotic school pupils set off in Broad Street, then followed them to the town hall on St Aldate's for a short service.
The youngsters finished their ceremony afterwards by going up to Oxford Castle where St George's flag was raised on the castle's turret.
