So Patrick Tolani, director of Oxfordshire Racial Equality Council, thinks that illegal immigrants have more right to be in Britain than the old (Oxford Mail, November 1).
May I remind him that many of the old, black and white, fought a massive war against a regime that would have eradicated all other races it took a dislike to? From your picture of Mr Tolani, did I not detect some grey hairs which should warn him he is getting older by the year?
Will he leave this country when he is classified as old? Or perhaps enforced euthanasia will be carried out by then.
And as for suggesting that illegal immigrants creep into the country, muttering to themselves: "I must do my best for the good of this nation", that is utter poppycock.
They come here because they think the streets are paved with gold!
