THE organisers of Towersey Festival have cancelled the event and urged people to donate to protect its future.
A message sent to supporters said due to the coronavirus pandemic August’s festival was postponed until 2021 for the first time in 55 years.

It explained: “We believe this is the right decision for our team, artists and attendees even if by the end of August it is once again possible under law.”
It said in preparation for 2020 a ‘considerable’ amount had already been spent and the festival had a ‘significant deficit’ going into 2021.
