Police have released a CCTV image of two women who they believe can help with a theft investigation in Oxford.

It relates to an incident at 3.45pm on Friday, January 24 in John Lewis at the Westgate centre where a woman removed a Macbook Pro laptop.

She was seen wrestling with the security connector which secured the computer to the table.

After removing it, she concealed the laptop and left the store without paying for it.

Another woman was using another nearby laptop.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Lee Dix of the Smarter Resolution team based at Oxford, said: “I would like to speak to the two women pictured in these CCTV images as I believe they will have important information that can assist my investigation.

“If you recognise either of the women, or you are one of them, please get in contact with police using the online contact form quoting reference number 43200027184.
