A SPEEDY thief snatched high-end bottles of alcohol from Westgate shopping centre.

Officers have launched an investigation into the incident at the large Sainsbury's store where an offender stole bottles of Jack Daniels 'Honey' and a bottle of Grey Goose Vodka.

The man went into the supermarket in the centre of Oxford on March 10 and tried to pull off security tags on alcohol bottles but was unsuccessful.

He then put them back and took different bottles, this time successfully removing the tags.

The man then tried to exit the store with the merchandise hidden in his jacket, but when the alarm sounded he ran out.

Thames Valley Police have now released CCTV images of a man officers would like to speak to about the incident.

Investigating officer Lee Dix : "We have released these CCTV images as we would like to speak to the man pictured.

"If you think you know him or you believe this might be you, please get in touch with police.

"We think he has vital information which could help us with this investigation."
