MAJOR plans for the brand new 74-room Travelodge at the rapidly growing historic town of Faringdon have been revealed.

An application by the budget accommodation brand to decorate its building – part of Faringdon Park, next to the existing Waitrose, Aldi and Costa – with illuminated letters and logos was made in March.

The new development, funded by Aviva Investors, is set to consist of a three storey scheme with the budget hotel above a 15,000 sq ft Home Bargains store.
