STAFF at Walton Street Cycles and Bainton Bikes are reminding their customers that they are still open to serve them during the coronavirus shutdown.
They are among businesses across the county who want to remind people that they have not gone away - they are being backed by the Oxford Mail’s #StillopeninOxfordshire campaign.
Bike Zone in St Michael’s Street and Summertown Cycles are also providing a service for their customers.
A spokesman for Walton Street Cycles and Bainton Bikes said: “We are open and offering all normal services for folks who rely on their bicycles, we do have extra safety measures in place in store for everyone’s safety.

“We are extending our mobile services to all key workers outside of our standard working hours – if you are a key worker or know someone who is that relies on their bike please get in touch and we will do our upmost to support and help you anyway we can. We appreciate everything you are doing.”
Staff say cycling is an important mode of transport and provides massive health benefits through exercise.
A spokesman added: “Considering the present situation your bike will be more important than ever for shopping, exercise and general transport.
“We understand this and will do our upmost to keep you on two wheels.”
