A new temporary hospital is to open next week in East London.
Health Secretary Matt Hancock said this afternoon that it will be called the NHS Nightingale Hospital and be located in the ExCel Centre.
The hospital will have two wards which will have 2,000 patients each and it will be aided by the help of the military.
It comes amid fears NHS intensive care units will be overwhelmed by extra patients.
Northwick Park Hospital in north-west London declared a critical incident on Friday after it ran out of intensive care beds.
