After a week of people stockpiling and empty shelves in supermarkets food banks need donations from the community more than ever.

Oxford Food Bank is also looking for donations, but they are calling on commercial kitchens to make contributions.

The food bank is calling on all professional kitchens, restaurants and caterers to donate their surplus food to the community.

The food bank aims to reduce food waste and provide food for those most in need.

Items the food bank will welcome include fresh food such as, fruit and vegetables, meat, fish and dairy.

The food bank also needs frozen food, non-alcoholic drinks and sealed food such as pasta, rice, noodles, cereal and tins.

However, Oxford Food Bank will not accept any prepared food from kitchens and restaurants including sandwiches.

The food bank will also not accept any opened or used products.
