ODEON cinemas is the first to cinema chain to announce that its branches across the UK have closed.

Its branches have closed following guidance issued on Covid-19.

In a statement posted on Twitter the cinema chain said: "Following Government guidelines Odeon cinemas are closed until further notice.

"If you have pre-booked tickets online these will be refunded automatically."

Oxfordshire has three Odeon cinemas with two in Oxford and one in Banbury.
