STAGECOACH in Oxfordshire has announced it will be increasing the cost of some fares and ticket prices on its services from Sunday, March 29.

However, the price of a range of tickets will be frozen including the Oxford Tube return fare, a selection of 12-trip tickets and the Oxford SmartZone ticket range.

Most singles on local bus services will increase by 10p and return tickets will increase by between 10p and 20p. There will be changes to the prices of most one day, seven-day, four-week, 13-week and annual tickets.

Changes to the Oxford Tube will also be kept to a small number of tickets following the introduction of an enhanced timetable in January.

There will be no changes to the popular Oxford to London return. Changes will be limited to an increase of £1 on single tickets, £35 on annual tickets and the removal of the App and online discount for 12 trip tickets.

Chris Coleman, managing director at Stagecoach in Oxfordshire, said: “We always strive to keep our fares as low as possible for our customers - while we have had to apply some increases to our ticket range we have also been able to freeze some too.
