POLICE have asked residents to check outbuildings in the search for a missing man.

Robert Wilson, from Abingdon, has been missing since Thursday.

He was last seen at about midday in The Holt. 

The 76-year-old is described as slim and around 5ft 9ins.

He has short grey hair and is clean-shaven.

He also wears glasses and was probably wearing a bright blue raincoat.

Mr Wilson usually visits the Radley Road Nature Reserve in Abingdon and the Donnington Bridge area of Oxford.

Police are now urging anybody who has seen him to get in touch. 

Investigating officer, Inspector Adrian Lewis, based at Abingdon police station, said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Robert’s welfare and are appealing for the public’s help in locating him.

“If anyone believes they have seen Robert or knows of his whereabouts, please get in touch with police by calling 101, quoting reference 43200084864.”
