THE number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in the UK has rocketed to 590.
Up from 456 cases yesterday, this is the largest rise the nation has seen so far.

Out of the 29,764 people who have been tested, ten patients who tested postive have died.
It comes as the government is due to announce today that it is stepping up its coronavirus response.
