Coronavirus cases in UK surge to 456
THE number of UK coronavirus cases continues to surge, with the highest increase within 24 hours recorded.
As of 9am today, a total of 27,476 people have been tested with 456 positive.
This is up from 373 yesterday.

Two more cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Oxfordshire yesterday.
This puts the total number of people in the county with the virus, known as COVID-19, at seven.
Updated regional figures are expected this afternoon.
